What’s new: An interesting short video that posits composite/multi-sensor navigation is not only the wave of the future, but is just about here.

Why it’s important: It’s good to get folks thinking seriously about this as soon as possible because:

  • For three or more decades most folks have been using single source GPS,
  • Multi-source systems are more expensive,
  • Change is hard.

What else to know:

  • We couldn’t find much about the video’s producer, Ave World.  We are not sure of their credentials nor their relationship with the PNT community. .
  • The video gets lots of things right, but some things that should be correct are wrong.
  • This might have been created by AI. It kinda has that “feel.”

Goodbye GPS? The Next Big Leap After Beidou! – Ave World on YouTube

Imagine a world where your smartphone can’t find its way, self-driving cars drift off course, and planes reroute mid-flight. That’s not science fiction—it’s the very real threat posed by the vulnerabilities of GPS. In this deep-dive documentary, we explore:

✅ The hidden weaknesses of the U.S. GPS system

✅ The explosive rise of jamming & spoofing attacks (up 500% in aviation!)

✅ China’s BeiDou: a powerful, global alternative to GPS

✅ The rise of low Earth orbit satellite systems (Starlink, Kuiper, LEOPT)

✅ Quantum navigation and the next frontier of unhackable positioning

✅ How Wi-Fi, 5G, and terrestrial signals are shaping local navigation

✅ The geopolitical race to control navigation—and time itself

🛰 GPS was once the gold standard. But the future is multi-layered, resilient, and global—from space-based constellations to quantum sensors and terrestrial networks.

🔍 Whether you’re a tech enthusiast, policymaker, developer, or just curious about what keeps your world on track—this is the video you need to watch.
