What’s new: Jamming and spoofing are so common in commercial aviation they have been incorporated into video games.

Why it’s important: 

  • Lots of future pilots start out on video game simulators like this one. There is no end in sight for jamming and spoofing, so the sooner they get used to adapting to and compensating for it, the better off we all will be.
  • It is a real sign of the times that jamming and spoofing in aviation have become routine.
